Taytay, Rizal a branch that manufactures quality wooden products, and the other is located at M.L Quezon Ext. Brgy. Dalig, Antipolo Rizal, a branch that manufactures steel doors and jambs.
It all started back on July 25, 2001, when 725 Shelterworks, began its long journey as a single proprietor that based on Quezon City. We initially traded materials like wooden products such as door, jambs, and other wood products and at the same-time some finishing materials from imported to locally made tiles, bathroom, and kitchen fixtures. We also offered some services including installation and finishing.
A year later in the year 2002, we opened and began operating our woodworking factory in Taytay Rizal, a town famous for its woodwork. We began with only eight(8) personnel and eventually became forty-two (42) highly skilled machine operators and painters. We manufacture almost all wooden products from doors and jambs of any design, modular cabinets, furniture, wooden planks, molding sand staircase components. We supply almost all the doors and jambs requirements of Crown Asia, Camella, Brittany, Hausland Development Corp, and Fiesta Communities Inc., to name a few. We also agreed with the traders, hardware, and contractors. The year 2006, we opened up a showroom, located at Antipolo City, and named it Shelter City Trading. This company is engaged in selling and trading of various finishing materials from ceramics, finishing hardware, wooden and steel products, and also offer services such as estimates, installations, and repairs.
A year later, in 2007 we bought eleven (11) units combination of cargo and dump trucks that we used in hauling of white sand and coarse aggregates and deliver the goods to ready mix plants, housing developers, and contractors.
When the Total Log ban was religiously imposed by the government in the early part of the year 2011, scarcity of wooden materials occurred which resulted in abrupt changes in prices of all our raw materials. It is one of the challenges we surpassed and we will surpass in this fast-changing world of industries.
As our industry became more modernized and the environment - friendly, most of the biggest developers here in the Philippines shifted into the usage of steel rather than wooden products. Due to this event, we decided to add another product that will cope up with the requirements of our most clients - the use of cold-rolled steel and galvanized iron, which will serve as the raw materials for the production of quality steel doors, jambs, and other steel products.
For company research and development, our team went abroad and visited several of the biggest steel door manufacturers in the US and China.
In December 2012 after a few visits to the manufacturing industry in foreign countries, we started procuring necessary equipment needed to produce quality doors and jambs. Having a quality machine (AMADA brand), Japan made, producing steel doors and jamb became more efficient than ever.
May of 2013 is where we officially got orders and began catering to some of the biggest developers here in the Philippines and counting. In the same year, we entered into a joint venture and lock up sales to Vista Land. We also into a partnering agreement on some foreign suppliers for our raw materials. This is also the year wherein our company passed the fire rating test (2 hours for steel door & jamb and 40 minutes for the wooden door) that assure our product for having the best quality a wooden and steel products could have.
As the year 2013 ends, our company secure a patent for steel door and jamb at the IPO (Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines Bureau of Patent) which have been given to our company at beginning of the year 2014.
In September 2015, our new line of business was introduced, Sheldoor Modular System. A venture which caters to the supply and installation of Modular Kitchen Cabinets, Closet Cabinets, and Modular MDF Doors with Wood Veneers.
